Purchasing and billing
eduskit charges consist of a plan subscription, resource usage and any agreed additional services. Plans determine available features and quotas. Resource points pay for usage of enabled features.
Cost components
| Component | Covers | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Plan subscription | Classroom capacity, feature access, API quotas and agreed service levels | Plans and editions |
| Usage | Media, relay, recording, transcoding, storage, traffic and enabled AI services | Resource points and billing |
| Additional services | OEM, private deployment, source delivery, implementation and other services | Website pricing and your contract |
Points included in a plan can cover usage. A resource pack adds points without changing feature access, participant limits or the subscription term. All plans use the same SDK package for each platform; changing plans does not require replacing it.
Getting started
- Sign in to the console and open Usage & Billing to review your plan and entitlements. The Developer plan is activated automatically on the first sign-in when no plan is active.
- Choose a plan for your classroom size and required features, then follow Purchasing and plan changes.
- Enter your classroom configuration in the Price calculator to estimate usage.
- Check available points and obtain a resource pack if needed. Creating a classroom reserves part of the estimated points.
- Review actual usage and settlement under Usage, Point ledger and Reservations.
Prices and account entitlements
The website pricing page lists reference prices in CNY. The console shows your account's entitlements, subscription term, point batches and usage. Final prices, grants, service levels and payment terms follow your quotation and contract.
The console currently supports plan activation, resource pack issuance and usage queries. Online checkout, automatic payment collection and self-service invoicing are not available. See Purchasing and plan changes for the available operations.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a subscription still consume points?
A subscription provides features and quotas. Metered resources such as media and recording consume points according to usage. Eligible grants and resource packs are used first.
Why is a feature unavailable when I have points?
Balance and entitlements are checked separately. Review the feature, participant limit and expiry under Current plan, then check classroom configuration and member permissions. A resource pack does not unlock features.
Does an estimate consume points?
The price calculator estimates usage only. It does not create a classroom, reserve points or deduct points. Actual charges come from recorded usage.
Does each application have its own balance?
The wallet belongs to the console account's tenant and is shared across that tenant's applications. Usage can be viewed by application and environment. Application tokens do not provide access to console billing.
